We are delighted that Tim Stubbs has invited us back to his lovely garden at Street Cottage Bethersden, for our annual fete on August Bank Holiday, Monday 28th 2017, 11.30 am to 4.00 pm.
Bethersden hosts one of the longest continually running garden fetes in the UK. The popular event attracts people from as far away as North Kent and Hastings and raises important reserves for the St Margaret’s church fabric fund.
Fun for all the Family
Featuring traditional stalls and games, from plants, cakes and book stands to the popular tombola, pub games and crockery smashing stall, the fete features an activity to please every member of the family. Ploughman’s Lunch will be provided, as will afternoon tea. Or you may prefer to sample the delicious barbecue instead.
Bethersden Bake-Off Competition
New for 2017 is the Bethersden Bake-Off competition with three categories to choose from:
- Best decorated cupcake (under 12)
- Best Victoria sponge
- Best garden inspired cake
Entry is free, and should be submitted at the tea-tent by 12 Noon. After judging all cakes will be sold during the fete for charity.
