Thank you to all those who braved the wet weather and joined us for the above celebrations on 12th June. The event was attended by around 800 villagers and we are pleased to say that the rain did not dampen spirits on the day!
We were delighted to be joined by our local MP Damian Green who helped unveil the commemorative oak tree. The tea and cake tent was a resounding success and a big thank you to the Girl Guides for helping out on the day. Also thank you to all the bands and musicians who made the day lively and entertaining and to all those who were involved in planning the event and contributed on the day.
We hope to build on the success of this event and will be posting details of any future events on the George Field on the website.
